Get to Know: Lindie Lloyd – Account Executive

Q: Share a bit about your education and career experiences.

A: I attended the University of Oklahoma out of high school where a summer trip to Macedonia my sophomore year led to a nomadic lifestyle of discovery.  I immersed myself in different cultures and ways of life.  I served my country as an Army spouse and enjoyed the work of supporting military families during deployment.  Upon my return to the states, I graduated from Rose State College and have held sales roles in the Chamber of Commerce and the auto industry that led me to the amazing folks at Houck Transit Advertising.  This medium of advertising is effective, creative, and always on the move a quality I identify with and enjoy.

Q: Tell us a little about your family?

A: My family is large, diverse, and busy. I am an aunt to 7 with #8 on the way, sister to 7, and a descendent of 4 Indigenous nations, as well as Western European.  I’m fortunate to have had relationships with all but one of my great-grandparents and carry their influences with me daily. I married my husband, Eric, in 2021 in Sedona, AZ. Together we have 11 dogs and 3 cats, all rescues, on our property in the country.  Eric, a retired RN, and I were medical fosters for an animal rescue during the shutdowns and foster-failed our way to this big, happy, furry family. One day, we’ll look back on this time fondly and say, “Remember when we had a gazillion dogs?”

Q: Tell us about the work you do at HTA?

A: My role at HTA is Account Executive.  I focus on building relationships in the local community and share how transit advertising can serve and exceed their marketing and advertising needs.  From public awareness programs to vibrant ads for the neighborhood pizza place – the creativity is endless. I enjoy connecting with a client when they are looking for a new, eye-catching way to advertise. Embrace the serendipity of life with transit!

Q: What are your interests outside of work?

A: I am most happy and interested in my backyard. Simple, huh? After my travels, my garden and home with my partner and pups are my favorite places. I enjoy supporting the environment and wildlife. Helping a turtle cross the road. Protecting nests from my pets each year. Growing bee-friendly vegetation.  I also enjoy Oklahoma’s vibrant art and film scene, its beautiful lakes, and local festivals. My house was used as a film set for a great movie called Out of Exile. The film industry in Oklahoma is on an exciting trajectory!

Q: What have you found to be your favorite experience at Houck Transit Advertising so far?

A: My favorite experience with Houck thus far was the elder event that was recently held at the Absentee Shawnee Tribe where the buses they created for their campaign were featured. Their programs assist elders in unsafe atmospheres and victims of domestic violence. I love the layers of work that are being accomplished with transit advertising. Public transit serves as the hard-working circulatory system of the city while the exterior messaging provides helpful information to those who may not know how/where to find it until it crosses their path.
