A: I hold a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith. My career has taken me through various roles so far, including in-house design for a large retailer and creating video and motion graphics for clients of all sizes. Now I’m thrilled to be at Houck, where I get to collaborate with an amazing team and design something new every day. There’s always something exciting and challenging to tackle.
A: My family is largely from Arkansas, where I grew up, but I also have a good amount of extended family in Wisconsin. We’re a bit spread out with family members also in Washington and Arizona. My aunt Candace, who lives in Washington, is my best friend, and as we like to tell everyone, we’re only six years apart! She is like a sister to me.
A: As a Graphic Designer at HTA, I have the role of designing ads for clients and ensuring that the art sent by clients meets our printing specifications. Additionally, I share some of the printing responsibilities for the ads we create, working in our large-format print shop that’s in-house. This keeps me busy running between the print room and my office. I also enjoy working on various side projects and being part of our Houck committees, which adds a lot of variety to my workday.
A: Outside of work I enjoy making playlists, trying new restaurants, and exploring the Twin Cities. I’m also obsessed with all types of beverages, from sparkling water to kombucha and boba, and pretty much everything in between. I have a soft spot for hedgehogs, a passion for beautiful design objects, and I love collecting niche pop vinyl records.
A: My favorite experience so far has been our Houck Harvest event. Having all our staff together in the office and meeting some colleagues for the first time was so enjoyable. And being able to celebrate our get-together in Hinckley, MN, was a very memorable experience. We don’t often have the chance to all be together, but when we do, it’s a fantastic time. It made me appreciate the strong sense of camaraderie within our team.
